Nursing excellence at Tufts Medical Center
Two of our nurses, Marybeth Singer and Ed Burch were recently honored as Nursing Excellence Award finalists in the New England region by Nursing Spectrum. National leader in hospital quality named Tufts MC’s next Chief Medical Officer
Tufts Medical Center has appointed Saul N. Weingart, MD, PhD of Newton, Mass. as its next Chief Medical Officer. Weingart is a nationally renowned leader in the movement to improve hospital quality, currently serving as Vice President for Quality Improvement and Patient Safety at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. Tufts Medical Center ranks first in Massachusetts in adult heart transplants
Our 17 adult heart transplants in 2012 were the most of any hospital in Massachusetts, according to statistics supplied by New England Organ Bank (NEOB). Tufts MC now has performed a total of 103 heart transplants over the past five years (2008-2012), more than any other hospital in New England. Read the Press Release >
