Externships With Us

“EXTERNSHIP” APPLICATION PROCESS

 

 

Please click on the following link to fill out this externship application if you are a student completing your requirements for a Certificate or Associates Degree program with a Tufts Medical Center affiliated school.

 

Online Application

 

• Once your placement is confirmed with Human Resources, please call 617-636-5480 for an appointment with the Employee Health Office (Proger 6) to present your immunization records and to receive a TB test

 

•  The Health Clearance Form must be returned to Human Resources, Farnsworth Building.

 

• Volunteers 18 years or older need to pass a criminal background check (CORI). Your school is responsible for completion of your CORI.

 

• You must attend a one hour Volunteer Orientation which is held biweekly at the Volunteer Office (Proger 7) on Mondays at 10:30 AM.  You will be assigned an Orientation date following completion of the above requirements.  After the Orientation, you will be issued a hospital photo ID.

 

• You cannot begin your externship until all of the above steps have been completed.
