The Asthma Prevention and Management Program is a collaborative effort by Tufts Medical Center, Floating Hospital for Children, and the Josiah Quincy Schools to provide culturally competent, comprehensive asthma treatment for Asian young people in the Greater Boston area. The program will start with nearly 500 pediatric asthma sufferers and provides bi-lingual educational materials and asthma management plans, with a focus on communication and coordination of care among the young patients’ home, school, and physician.
The Asthma Prevention and Management Program is funded by a grant from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts to help eliminate healthcare disparities.
