Dr. Scott Shikora, Chief of Bariatric Surgery at Tufts Medical Center and Surgical Director of the Medical Center's comprehensive Weight and Wellness Center, along with bariatric surgeons Dr. Michael Tarnoff and Dr. Julie Kim, performs laparoscopic gastric bypass surgery. Tufts Medical Center was the first medical center in New England to do the gastric bypass surgery using minimally invasive techniques.
