Kate Berg -Project with Kari Roberts looking at all of the NEMC cases of pulmonary non-tubercular mycobacterial infection over the past 10 years, trying to see how the strains we are seeing here compare with those in other US areas as well as mainland China. We're also looking at the demographics of who is getting infected, and outcomes of treatment.

Alan Bonder- Working with Dr. Kaplan on a project involving prognostic indicators in PBC and PSC.

Greg Britt (with R. Kopelman) - Liver abscess associated with glomerulonephritis.

Mike Chaknos – Working with Mark Sarnak and Jim Udelson on a CV outcomes in CKD project.

Fadi Chalhoub - Working on a project with A. Alshiek-Ali on "Long term risk of appropriate defibrillator therapy after ventricular tachyarrhythmias early post implant: the "defibrillator proarrhythmia hypothesis".)

Denise Deitz -Working on research in Cardiology with Drs. Weintraub and Kuvin - Wrote a manuscript on Non-traditional Access Points for Emergent Pericardiocenteses based on data Weintraub had accumulated; and am working on a review article on Pericardial Disease and Treatment with Kuvin

Liana Falcone - Working on a project with Dr Chris Wanke, involving 1) a systematic review on supplementation in HIV, and 2) a retrospective study, which may involve looking at the effect of cholesterol levels on viral load and CD4 counts or an alternate micronutrients.

Sachin Gandhi - Incidence of clots on TEE in patients with atrial fibrillation undergoing ICD placements.

Dave Gazeley -Working on a chart review project with Dr. McAlindon. Lupus cohort. Evaluating associations of hypocomplementemia with demographic, laboratory, and clinical manifestations of Lupus.

Delvina Helsinja Saraqini - Working on research project on Pulmonary HTN with Dr.Hill and Dr.Roberts. We are comparing echo studies pre and post nitrous oxide.

Noa Holoshitz -Working on a project with Dr. Karas on HDL level in ACS patients.

Salvia Jain (with K. Sprague) -am working on a project with Dr Sprague. I am looking at low intensity conditioning regimen in AML patients prior to HSCT.

Ben Kalsmith: Working on following projects. 1)Mortality following Cardiac Transplantation in Patients with a History of Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy 2)A Retrospective View of Patients with Takasubo after ICD therapy 3) Risk of Sudden Cardiac Death in Patients with Non-Ischemic Cardiomyopathy who presents with Syncope. 4) Aphthous Ulcers and Their Connection to Crohn’s-Like Disease in the Distal Bowel

Jason Kinzel - Working on a Case series with Drs. Kaplan and Frederickson regarding a small cohort of patients with Steroid-Responsive (Highly-Inflammatory) Sclerosing Cholangitis (A variant of primary sclerosing cholangitis that is responsive steroids).

Maria Krassilnikova (with D. Weiner) – Lipids and Risk of Stroke in Chronic Kidney Disease patients.

Max Lee - Working with Dr. Patel on a study looking at outcomes (death, MI, graft vasculopathy) of transplant patients in relation to previous flow mediated dilation findings. Working with Dr. Denofrio looking at the pharmacokinetics of ezemtimibe.

Rhadika Phadke –1. Factors affecting Glycemic instability in non-diabetic individuals with Dr Pittas. 2. Diabetes Reversal trial through lifestyle modifications with Dr Dansinger.

Andy Root - Planning on starting a project with Drs Snydman and Poutsiaka - the purpose would be to show that CMV infection in BMT patients is an independent risk factor for bacterial/fungal infections.

Sanjukta Sanyal (with R. Kopelman) - Asthma due to an occult bronchogenic cyst.
