Our volunteers are placed throughout the hospital and are assigned areas based on their interests and capabilities and individual departments' needs. Their primary role is to assist the staff so that your experience at Tufts Medical Center can be a positive one. Volunteers are available during the day to provide activities and companionship for inpatients. Vistors may request a complimentary newspaper or borrow magazines, books, puzzles, playing cards and games directly from Volunteer Services by calling 617-636-1377, weekdays from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
