Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center

Tobacco-Free Campus

Dear Patients and Families,

As a major health care institution located in the heart of Boston, we are both an educator and a model for healthy behavior in the community. That is why I am proud to announce that Tufts Medical Center and Floating Hospital for Children are completely tobacco-free environments. Smoking or tobacco use of any kind is banned inside and within 25 feet of any buildings owned, leased or occupied by Tufts Medical Center. This tobacco-free zone applies to everyone, including patients, family members of patients, and visitors to the Medical Center, as well as employees, contract labor, vendors, medical staff, and volunteers. In this effort, we are joining forces with our neighbor, Tufts University’s Health Science campus, which includes the Medical and Dental schools.

Please review our brochure for more information on our tobacco-free policy.
We understand that not smoking on our campus may be difficult for some, but on behalf of everyone at the Medical Center, I thank you for doing your part to create a safer and healthier environment for all who enter Tufts Medical Center and Floating Hospital for Children.

Respectfully,

Eric Beyer
President and CEO
