- The Ace Bailey Children's Foundation
The Ace Bailey Children's Fund is dedicated to supporting programs that ease the strain of hospitalization on infants, children and their families at the Floating Hospital for Children. The Fund was established in memory of Garnet "Ace" Bailey, a former Boston Bruins hockey player, who was killed in the tragic events of September 11, 2001. In March 2006 "Ace's Place," the hospital's new play center, opened its doors. Future funding will support other projects at Floating Hospital, including gifts to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
