Priceless Partnership
CREATED WITH A SIMPLE CALL
A few years ago, Heidi Raphael, a member of the Tufts Medical Center Board of Governors, offered to reach out to Country 102.5 WKLB-FM to talk about a potential sponsorship for Harbor Walk & Run.
Today, a mere two and a half years since that phone call, not only is WKLB-FM a regular sponsor of signature events, they have raised more than $100,000 for Floating Hospital for Children.

In what is an invaluable and flourishing partnership, Floating Hospital has a center stage role at two WKLB-FM music series: the Rockin’ Country Music Series at the Hard Rock Café in Boston, and the American Pride Music Series at Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill in Foxborough. Music series artists donate their time and net proceeds from the ticket sales benefit the hospital. Participating artists include Montgomery Gentry, Gloriana, Little Big Town, Josh Turner and Scotty McCreery.
Beyond raising greatly needed funds for Floating Hospital, WKLB-FM has created the Country Music Healing Tour exclusively at Floating Hospital. Numerous artists, including Carrie Underwood and Casey James, have brought priceless memories and smiles to pediatric patients, singing for them in Ace’s Place playroom, visiting them at the bedside, and posing for photographs.

"We couldn't be more grateful or proud of our partnership with Country 102.5,” said Dr. John Schreiber, Chief Administrative Officer and Pediatrician-in-Chief at Floating Hospital for Children. “From the continuing music series concerts that have raised critical funds for Floating Hospital, to the Healing Tour visits that bring energy and smiles to our young patients in the hospital, Country 102.5 really embodies our mission to improve the lives of children and their families.”
