Allergy

Tufts Medical Center’s Division of Allergy offers diagnosis and treatment for patients with all forms of allergic conditions and disorders, including:
Our staff has a special interest in aerobiology of inhalant allergens and immunochemistry of animal dander allergen. We perform testing with inhalants, insect venoms, contactant, drugs, food allergens, and immune difficiencies. The division's laboratory also prepares allergen extracts for immunotherapy.
Our priority is individualized patient care that leads to a better quality of life. The majority of allergy and asthma cases do not conform to textbook descriptions, so we work closely with our patients to tailor treatment to their symptoms and needs.
Using state-of-the-art, evidence-based medicine in combination with the above philosophy, we empower our patients so that they can take charge of their conditions and their lives. By including our patients in the diagnosis and treatment process, we ensure that patients will leave with a better understanding of their own health, as well as a better understanding of how to deal with their medical issues.
Our team includes a bilingual physician, Dr. Weihong Zheng, who speaks English and Mandarin Chinese. Tufts Medical Center also provides interpretation services, at no cost to the patient, in more than 70 languages. For other language assistance or for more information, please call 617-636-5547.
