Clinical Program Overview

The Head and Neck Cancer Program provides evaluation and treatment of head and neck tumors by a multispecialty team.   This team includes:

• Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery
• Radiation Oncology
• Medical Oncology
• Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS), including Prosthodontics
• Dental Medicine
• Nutrition
• Speech-Language Pathology

Our patients are managed collaboratively by our entire team of multi-disciplinary professionals. We make every effort to see patients promptly. Treatment modalities include:

• Transoral minimally invasive laser surgery
• Sentinel lymph node biopsy
• Microvascular free flap reconstruction
• Sophisticated radiation treatments such as Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT)

Clinical Trials  

Our patients have access to novel therapies through participation in both Tufts Medical Center clinical trials and national clinical trials.
