Clinical Program Overview
The Pancreatic Cancer Program at the Tufts Medical Center is a comprehensive, multidisciplinary program including experts in surgery, medical oncology, radiation oncology, interventional radiology, gastroenterology, pathology and radiology.
Our goal is to provide personalized and individual care for each patient, utilizing the most up-to-date methods in a supportive, caring and easily-accessed setting.
Patients are offered the latest methods of treatment for pancreatic tumors. Multimodal therapy is often employed including surgery (minimally invasive if possible), latest chemotherapy, and most advanced radiation therapy.
All patients with cancers of the gastrointestinal tract are presented at our weekly multidisciplinary Gastrointestinal Oncology Conference. The best approach for each patient is discussed and agreed upon. Subsequent care and follow up are also presented as treatment progresses.
The Program has a portfolio of several clinical trials, advancing the science of cancer treatment and making the newest therapies available to our patients.
