At Tufts Cancer Center we provide compassionate care for both our patients and their families.
We work hard to provide all the resources, information, and support that you and your loved one need during a hospital stay.
To make your time with us easier, this section of our Web site acquaints you with the Medical Center and specific Cancer Center support resources.
Chaplains
Chaplains of various faiths can visit you and your family to offer emotional and spiritual support. If you wish to speak with a chaplain, ask the unit secretary to make arrangements, or call 617-636-5111 and ask the operator to page the chaplain.

Our partnership with
The Cam Neely Foundation for Cancer Care
means ongoing support for patients and their families, including a comforting and convenient “home-away-from-home” at The Neely House, a suite of 16 patient/family apartments located within the very walls of our hospital. Here, patients and their family can stay close by while receiving treatment and laboratory testing through the outpatient facilities and clinics of Tufts Medical Center.

On-site Pharmacy
and Prescriptions
Especially for Cancer Patients -- South Building, 8th Floor
The Cancer Center offers a convenient outpatient pharmacy focused on the care of oncology and transplant patients with an emphasis on assisting patients with prior authorizations and approvals.
All special pharmacy drugs for cancer patients are available at this location.
This pharmacy is located immediately adjacent to the Hematology/OncologyInfusion Center on the 8
th
floor of the South Building

Hours are
9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
For other pharmacy needs and over-the counter products, please visit the Atrium 3 Pharmacy (see below).
Atrium 3 Pharmacy
For your convenience after your discharge or clinic visit, your prescriptions may be filled at the Atrium 3 Pharmacy located on the 3rd floor of the Atrium. Hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday and the average wait time is only 15 to 20 minutes! Timely customer service is very important to the staff and they are committed to keeping the wait times at an absolute minimum.
The Atrium 3 Pharmacy accepts most prescription plans; credit cards and FSA cards are also accepted.

Over-the-Counter Products
Selected over-the-counter products are now available for sale as an added convenience to our Tufts Medical Center patients who have their prescriptions filled at the Atrium 3 Pharmacy. If you are a Medical Center patient and wish for the Pharmacy to stock a particular medication, whether prescribed by one of our medical center doctors or available without a prescription as an over-the-counter item, please let the staff know when you come in for your prescription. They will make every effort to acommodate your request.

Support Services
A component of the multidisciplinary team is the support staff. Among them are dedicated social workers, nutritionists, rehabilitation experts and pain management clinicians.
