Preventive Cardiology Center

The Preventive Cardiology Center (PCC) provides risk factor assessment and management for patients with heart disease and those at an increased risk for cardiovascular disorders. The Preventive Cardiology staff in Boston is composed of a multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, pharmacists, nurses and other health professionals.  

Expert advice and care are provided for:

• Lipid management
• Hypertension
• Estrogen replacement therapy in postmenopausal women
• Patients with a strong family history of heart disease

Our heart health services include:

• Individual dietary/nutrition counseling for weight loss and lipid disorders
• Group and individual counseling for obesity
• Smoking cessation
• Exercise and hormone replacement therapy for postmenopausal women

We also provide expert consultation for patients with rare metabolic causes of atherosclerosis.
