New Pediatric ENT Doctor
It is with great pleasure that we wish to announce that Dr. Mark Vecchiotti will be joining the Departments of Otolaryngology and Pediatrics as the new Chief of Pediatric Otolaryngology at the Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center.
Mark graduated from Tufts University and received his MD from Cornell in New York. He then went on to do his Otolaryngology Residency at Case Western Reserve University and University Hospitals of Cleveland. His Pediatric Otolaryngology Fellowship was done at Boston Children's Hospital, and most recently he has been at Hasbro Children's Hospital and Brown University.
We are extremely lucky to have Mark join the Floating and the Department and look forward to his arrival this fall.
The Department of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery provides consultation, diagnosis and treatment options for adult and pediatric patients with disorders of the ears, nose, face, sinuses, mouth, throat, voice box, head and neck. In addition to the customary otolaryngologic procedures, our clinicians perform highly specialized procedures including skull base surgery, advanced ear surgery, head and neck cancer surgery, cochlear implantation and complex facial plastic and reconstructive operations.
The staff members specialize in the latest medical and surgical treatments for all manners of head and neck disorders. In addition to providing comprehensive patient care, the clinicians are also involved in continuing research, which keeps them abreast of the latest methods and treatments. Our staff is also involved in medical education and specialty training through the department's residency training program and Tufts University School of Medicine.
Tufts Medical Center's specialists have particular expertise in ear and balance disorders, disorders of the voice, minimally invasive laser surgery for cancer of the larynx (voice box) and throat, facial cosmetic surgery, cleft lip and palate surgery, and advanced techniques in endoscopic sinus surgery. The department includes adult and pediatric divisions to ensure the best possible care for individual patients.
