Richard D. Siegel, MD

Dr. Richard D. Siegel received his undergraduate degree from Union College in 1988 and his MD from Albany Medical College in 1990. He came to Boston and did an internal medicine residency at Boston University Medical Center Hospital followed by a year as chief medical resident in 1993-1994. His fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism was at Tufts Medical Center through 1997 when he joined the staff of the division at the hospital.
Dr. Siegel currently is the co-director of the Outpatient Diabetes Center and co-director of the new Gerald R. Friedman Diabetes Self Management Education Program. In 1997, he organized the Inpatient Diabetes Management Service which coordinates the diabetes care of surgical inpatients at New England Medical Center. He is also the consulting Endocrinologist and one of the staff internists of the Obesity Consultation Center.
Dr. Siegel is Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and Subspecialty Board in Endocrinology and Metabolism.
