Hanoi Drs. Christine Wanke , Sherwood Gorbach , James Hellinger , Michael Jordan  and Alice Tang  are collaborating with colleagues in Hanoi, Vietnam to investigate the Nutritional Status of HIV-positive and HIV-negative injecting drug users (IDUs) in Hanoi, Vietnam as part of the TNC CDAAR program. Dr. Jordan is studying the emergence of HIV drug resistance in a population of HIV infected individuals beginning first-line ART in Hanoi, Vietnam and developing allele-specific PCR assays to detect the emergence of low frequency HIV drug resistance mutations and their impact on clinical outcomes.
