The neurologists at Tufts Medical Center's Department of Neurology in Boston, Massachusetts offer comprehensive evaluation, consultation, and management of diseases of the central and peripheral nervous systems and the neuromuscular system. Areas of special interest include: seizures; movement, memory, and behavioral disorders; nerve/muscle disorders; epilepsy; and neuro-oncology. Our award-winning stroke program has received the Get With the Guidelines (GWTG) Award for the past three years, achieving recognition through the Massachusetts Regional Stroke Initiative.
Special procedures provided by our neurologists include electromyography (EMG), single fiber electromyography, EEG and continuous EEG monitoring, evoked potentials, nerve/muscle analysis, and transcranial Doppler ultrasound analysis of intracranial blood flow.
Additionally, the Department of Neurology offers a strong residency program that affords participants the opportunity for rotations with neurologists in three Boston hospitals: Tufts Medical Center, St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, and the Lahey Clinic Medical Center.
