Clinical Program Overview
The Gynecologic Oncology Program at Tufts Medical Center provides comprehensive care for women with malignancies of the ovary, fallopian tube, peritoneum, uterus, cervix, vulva and vagina. Our gynecologic oncologists manage both the surgical and chemotherapy aspects of treatment. In addition, our gynecologic oncologists are experts in minimally invasive surgery and robotic surgery for the treatment of gynecologic cancers. These approaches lead to quicker recovery, less pain and earlier initiation of postoperative treatment.

Chemotherapy Suite
Patients receive chemotherapy in a private setting devoted exclusively to women with gynecologic cancers. This atmosphere provides an immediate support network for our patients. Chemotherapy treatment is supervised by our team of experienced nurses and gynecologic oncologists. You may contact our chemotherapy nurse leader, Kathleen Kiley, RN, OCN for more information. She can be reached by phone, 617-636-3257 or email, kkiley@tuftsmedicalcenter.org.
Multidisciplinary Care
Plans of care for each patient are discussed at our weekly Gynecologic Oncology Tumor Conference. Our gynecologic oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, nurses, fellows, residents and students participate in this multidisciplinary conference. This team of experts works together to develop an optimal treatment course for each patient.
Clinical Trials
We offer state-of-the-art clinical trials for patients with gynecologic malignancies. Patients have access to national trials through our affiliation with the Gynecologic Oncology Group (GOG). Patients also have access to clinical trials of novel therapies offered only at Tufts Medical Center Cancer Center.
