Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery

The Division of Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery offers comprehensive evaluation and treatment of a wide variety of problems relating to the female bladder and pelvic organs, particularly focusing on the following:
Dr. Tanaz Ferzandi has joined the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in a full-term capacity to provide care in this field. She is a fellowship-trained Urogynecologist who specializes in minimally invasive approaches to treatment, as well as the traditional abdominal and vaginal surgeries. Patients referred to the service will be returned to their referring physicians with the results of the evaluation and recommendations for treatment.
A wide variety of treatment options are available, from conservative management to surgical treatment.

Pelvic organ prolapse-surgical approaches via laparoscopy, abdominally or vaginally
