Eric Smith, MD

Dr. Eric Smith is a graduate of Tulane University School of Medicine, and completed his Orthopaedic residency training at the Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. He is a graduate of the Otto E. Aufranc Adult Reconstructive Fellowship at the New England Baptist Hospital, Boston, MA.

Between 2002 and 2006 Dr. Smith served as a general orthopaedic surgeon in the US Army and has been stationed in Hawaii, Ft. Bragg, NC and deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

Dr. Smith is Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and assumes the role of Director of the Arthroplasty Service at Tufts Medical Center. His interests include primary and revision total hip arthroplasty, hip resurfacing and hip arthroscopy as well as computer assisted primary and revision total knee arthroplasty.
