Take the survey | The Department of Psychiatry at Tufts Medical Center provides one of the oldest and most diversified general hospital psychiatric services in Boston including a number of inpatient and ambulatory services that offer a unique spectrum of care. Primary areas of expertise include care for patients with combined medical, neurologic and psychiatric illness, specialized psychopharmacologic evaluation, consultation, and management, and expertise in the treatment of all major psychiatric illnesses. Diagnostic assessment, consultation and treatment is available for adults, children and adolescents. We offer comprehensive psychiatric and neuropsychiatric evaluation and testing, consultation and treatment on an inpatient and outpatient basis to individuals, couples, families and children with psychiatric disorders including major depression, mood, anxiety, and personality disorders, ADD/ADHD and learning disorders, and concomitant medical disorders. Other specialized services include geriatric psychiatry, eating disorders, and electroconvulsive therapy (ECT).
