Hand and Upper Extremity Clinic

The Hand Clinic and Upper Extremity Clinic at Tufts Medical Center provides care for patients with any traumatic or atraumatic condition of the hand and upper extremity. Examples of conditions treated include:
- Fractures
- Peripheral nerve injuries
- Tendon and soft tissue injuries
- Arthritis
- Congenital malformations
- Neuromuscular deformities
- Infections
- Tumors of the hand, wrist, and elbow.
Our spectrum of care ranges from minimally invasive arthroscopic approaches to the hand, wrist, and elbow to hand and elbow joint replacements.
In order to more fully care for our patients, we offer an Outpatient Hand Therapy Clinic that specializes in rehabilitation of the hand and elbow. The clinic emphasizes helping patients regain maximum use of their hands after injury, surgery, or as a result of disease. The Hand Therapy Clinic, located within our office space, is staffed by occupational therapists with advanced education and training and is supervised by a certified hand therapist.
