Kidney and Blood Pressure Center

Tufts Medical Center’s Kidney and Blood Pressure Center continues the tradition of clinical excellence begun at the Medical Center in 1950, when Dr. William B. Schwartz founded Boston’s first outpatient practice devoted exclusively to the diagnosis and treatment of kidney disease and hypertension.
Services at the Kidney and Blood Pressure Center range from one-time consultations to comprehensive, ongoing care for chronic kidney disease.
Every effort is made to assure that each patient sees the same full-time staff physician and the same clinical fellow or nurse practitioner at every visit, with attentive supervision of medication adjustments between appointments. Prompt, responsive and continuing contact with referring physicians and a collegial approach to patient management are emphasized throughout the evaluation and treatment process.
