Muscular Dystrophy Clinic

Dr. Joseph Hanak is the Director of the Muscular Dystrophy Association Clinic for adolescents and adults in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.  In conjunction with other Tufts Medical Center neuromuscular specialists, Dr. Hanak provides ongoing treatment and management service for the many types of muscular dystrophy and other designated muscular and neurologic disorders. Our staff works closely with the Boston Area Chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association in helping patients and families with the issues of long-term neuromuscular disorders.

 

Comprehensive outpatient assessment and long term planning for children with dystrophy is pursued with the goal of maintaining function and coordinated care with other medical providers in improving quality of life.
