At Tufts Medical Center we strive to provide the highest quality of services based upon the patient populations and needs of the Medical Center community. We have five occupational therapists with more than thirty years of experience collectively. Occupational therapy is provided on all units at Tufts Medical Center, five days a week.
About Us
What is Occupational Therapy?
Occupational therapy is a rehab specialty for individuals who face barriers or have experienced a decline in function in performance areas such as self care, independent living skills, functional mobility, cognition, social skills and difficulty achieving developmental milestones. Occupational therapists utilize functional activities, therapeutic exercise and/or play experiences as modalities and motivators in treatment to address patients' problem areas and assist them in maximizing their functional independence.
