About Us
What is a Physical Therapist?
Physical therapists are health care providers who are experts in the examination and treatment of problems that affect people's ability to move and function. These abilities are driven by four major systems in the body: musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiovascular/pulmonary, and integumentary. Physical therapists are educated and practiced in managing all four. As members of patient care teams in the inpatient setting, physical therapists collaborate with the doctors, nurses, and all of the other health care providers involved in the team to provide coordinated care.
