Stroke Service
The Stroke Service is a multidisciplinary service dedicated to the care of patients with cerebrovascular diseases and to researching new treatments. Our staff, which includes senior neurologists, a clinical nurse coordinator and clinical and research fellows, all contribute to the timely assessment of patients with all forms of symptomatology related to vascular disease.
Modern diagnostic techniques provided by our practice include:
- Vascular assessment using non-invasive transcranial Doppler ultrasonography
- Carotid and vertebral color duplex ultrsonongraphy
- Magnetic resonance imaging
- Angiography
- SPECT scanning
- Conventional angiography
We also work closely with other Medical Center services including Internal Medicine, Neuroradiology, Neuro-Opthalmology, Vascual Surgery and Neurosurgery to provide the most comprehensive care for patients.
