Thyroid Disease Center

We provide comprehensive diagnostic, therapeutic and education services for the evaluation and treatment of thyroid disease. We provide diagnostic testing of thyroid disease, including thin needle aspiration biopsy of the thyroid and radioactive iodine uptake testing. Our physicians are experienced in the use of radioactive iodine for the treatment of hyperthyroidism and thyroid cancer.

We are a referral site in New England for formal dosimetry studies to treat difficult thyroid cancer patients with radioactive iodine. We coordinate the evaluation and treatment of patients with thyroid cancer with the Department of Surgery and the Division of Nuclear Medicine.
