Tufts Medical Center's Department of Surgery provides a complete range of surgical services. Our Department features multidisciplinary programs for optimal treatment of cancer and obesity, as well as diseases of the intestinal tract, breast, liver, biliary tree, pancreas, spleen, lung, endocrine systems and cardiovascular system. We are home to an American College of Surgeons accredited Level I Trauma Center.
We feature state-of-the-art operating suites equipped for the most sophisticated surgical procedures including minimally invasive laparoscopic gastric bypass, endovascular aneurysm repair, and the full spectrum of video-assisted and image guided procedures.
Our pre-operative and post-operative care facilities including our Center for Pre-operative Assessment, our Post-anesthesia Care Unit, and our Surgical Intensive Care Unit are state of the art facilities staffed by dedicated anesthesia, surgery, and nursing professionals dedicated to insuring a safe and optimally comfortable procedure and recovery.
