Nurse Anesthesia (CRNA) Program

The Department of Anesthesia at Tufts Medical Center has enjoyed a long tradition of educating nurse anesthetists to become outstanding CRNA clinicians, prepared to begin practice in a variety of healthcare settings across the nation. Beginning in 1968 as a certificate program, we have enjoyed continuous accreditation from the AANA, and in 1991 joined with Northeastern University to prepare students at the graduate level. Tufts Medical Center is now a primary clinical site for the Northeastern Program, and accepts approximately six students annually for clinical education. The physicians and the CRNA staff remain committed to the highest quality standards and purpose in educating future clinicians.
