2011 Intern Boot Camp Fundamental Skills Course

|
The Department of Neurosurgery at Tufts Medical Center will host the 2011 Intern Boot Camp Fundamental Skills Course on July 15-16, 2011.
This course, sponsored by the Society of Neurological Surgeons (SNS), the oldest neurosurgical society in the world, brings together approximately 30 interns from 19 Neurosurgical Residency Programs from the Northeast region for two days of lectures and hands-on procedural and simulation sessions.
Tufts MC’s Department of Neurosurgery has hosted this program for the past two years, including the inaugural year in 2010. The course curriculum includes lectures given by Tufts faculty and faculty from other institutions including Yale, the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Mount Sinai Medical Center, Montefiore Medical Center, Children’s Hospital Boston, Lahey Clinic and The Neurological Institute of New York.
The lectures and hands-on procedural and simulation sessions will introduce important principles of neurosurgical care to entering PGY1 residents. The Department of Neurosurgery at Tufts Medical Center is honored to be the host of this unique educational experience for incoming neurosurgery residents of the Northeast region.
