Physical trauma can affect anybody, anywhere, anytime. In the United States, it is currently the leading cause of death in the first four decades of life.

The Emergency Department physicians, surgeons, intensive care professionals and other specialists at Tufts Medical Center work together closely to help patients experiencing a broad spectrum of traumatic injury.

Tufts Medical Center is currently applying for Level II Trauma Center designation by the American College of Surgeons.
