Medical Components of the Surgery Programs

All patients in the surgical program are carefully followed by one of our medical specialists who work with you individually throughout the full program. You will meet one of our internists or endocrinologists, as well our Physician Assistant early on in the program.

 

After a comprehensive medical intake and review, our physician specialists will continue to see you both in the pre-op phase of the program as you prepare for surgery, in the post-op phase as you recover from surgery and during the first year after surgery. A member of our medical team will communicate with your Primary Care Physician so that your full health care team is working together. When necessary, a member of the Weight and Wellness Center medical team may prescribe specific medications to help you stay in optimal health throughout the program. Our medical team is in constant communication with the nutritional and behavioral staff and they work closely with the surgeons to provide total medical care.
