The Office of Clinical Research Administration, (OCRA) located on the 10th floor, 15 Kneeland Street, Tupper building, was established in October, 2008. The goal of the office is to enhance, facilitate and grow our institutional presence in the clinical research arenas by providing a highly effective team and infrastructure to accommodate new clinical research agreements and partnerships with industry. To be the principal institutional liaison for clinical research contracting for industry sponsors

Review clinical trial budgets

Interface with clinical researchers, support staff, and IRB

Create and implement policies and procedures to support clinical research in a fiscally sound and compliant manner

Business development and assistance to PIs interested in expanding their research portfolios

Education and continual professional development activities on clinical research for administrators and clinical research coordinators

Maintain a database for collection of information on the industry sponsor, the investigator, department, etc.

Post-award activities include the receipt and recording of all checks from agreements and establishing new general ledger accounts

Maintenance of accounts and records during the life of the contract agreement in compliance with federal and or state law
