The Amyloidosis and Myeloma Research Fund supports innovative research on amyloidosis and myeloma, blood plasma cell disorders in which deposits of abnormal proteins accumulate in one or more organ systems, causing organ damage or failure. Research is led by Raymond L. Comenzo, MD, an internationally recognized expert in plasma cell disorders who has been the principal investigator of more than 10 major treatment trials in amyloidosis and myeloma. Dr. Comenzo's goal is to use his research to gain a better understanding of the characteristics and behavior of plasma cells in amyloidosis and myeloma to develop improved clinical treatments.
With gratitude to HealthNewsDigest.com for their generosity, in memory of renowned graphic designer and illustrator Talivaldis Stubis, in bringing potential supporters of the Amyloidosis and Myeloma Research Fund to this site.
