How we’re working together
Great things happen when people work together. That’s why MelroseWakefield Healthcare and Tufts Medical Center are collaborating to bring a greater level of specialty care to our communities. Together, we are providing:
Neurosurgery and Spine Care: When you're facing a debilitating back injury or the diagnosis of a complex neurological condition, you want an expert. But what if you could see that expert without having to drive into Boston?
Our new Neurosurgery and Spine program at MelroseWakefield Hospital is led by fellowship-trained neurosurgeon, Mina G. Safain. Dr. Safain is joined by our talented Physicians Assistant, Ran Ku, PA-C, to deliver care in the community that combines state-of-the-art technology with compassion and individualized care that each patient deserves.
Advanced Endoscopy: Scheduling an advanced GI procedure can be daunting - especially if you have to travel into Boston for it. With MelroseWakefield Healthcare and Tufts Medical Center's new partnership, advanced endoscopes don't need to include the stress of driving into Boston.
Thoracic Surgery: To help patients facing lung cancer and other complex thoracic conditions, MelroseWakefield Healthcare and Tufts Medical Center have partnered together to bring a top thoracic surgeon to your community. Laurence H. Brinckerhoff, MD, Chief of Thoracic Surgery at Tufts Medical Center, is now seeing patients side-by-side with the Tufts Medical Center Cancer Center team in Stoneham and the comprehensive oncology team at MelroseWakefield.
