Clinical services

Tufts Medical Center, Floating Hospital and MWMC work together to provide you with the services that you need most in the MetroWest area. Currently, we offer the following services:

  • Cardiac Care: The Heart Center of MetroWest is an affiliate of the CardioVacular Center at Tufts Medical Center and is the largest cardiology group in the MetroWest area. Our cardiologists give patients access to the most cutting-edge cardiovascular services and treatments right in their community.
  • Cancer: Zachary Spiegelman, MD has recently started providing care to both the MetroWest and Boston communities. Dr. Spiegelman spends 4 days a week in Framingham and 1 day per week at Tufts Medical Center's Boston campus.
  • Hospitalists: Pediatric hospitalists oversee the care of children on Framingham Union's pediatric unit. These pediatric attending physicians coordinate your child's care, serving as the vital link between families, nursing staff, other doctors and the referring pediatrician.
  • Maternal-Fetal Medicine: Our MFM specialists provide care for women who have or develop medical problems during pregnancy, women with obstetrical complications, and women at risk for abnormal pregnancy outcome. We also work closely with medical geneticists and neonatologists at Tufts MC and MWMC to offer comprehensive care to women whose fetuses have or are at risk for genetic abnormalities or prematurity.  
  • Newborn Care: Floating Hospital neonatologists oversee Framingham Union's Level IIB special care nursery to care for premature and sick infants around the clock. Keep your baby close to home while knowing he or she will receive expert treatment and monitoring.
  • Pediatric Specialty Care: No need to cross over Rt. 95 for pediatric specialty care. Floating Hospital for Children experts in Cardiology, Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Genetics, Hematology/Oncology, Nephrology, Neurology, Pulmonology and Urology are now available at the Pediatric Specialty Center at 85 Lincoln St. in Framingham.
  • Pediatric Surgery: If your child needs surgery, pediatric surgical services are available at 61 Lincoln St. in Framingham. Drs. Walter Chwals and Carl-Christian Jackson continue to perform surgical duties.
