Scott Neely

Tufts MC True Blue Recipient: Scott Neely
Trust

Nomination from Jill Fulginiti, Supervisor, on behalf of the Pediatric Hematology Oncology staff:

“Scott Neely has worked tirelessly for the growth and development of our division. Scott’s fundraising efforts have personally provided this division with a state-of-the art Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, a renovated and magnificent outpatient clinic on Tufts Medical Center 2 and the Neely House, which families are able to reside in while their children are being treated by our staff. Scott provided hands-on detail to every aspect of the design and functionality of our outpatient clinic and the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit. We work in a beautiful environment that embraces our patients with a welcoming and calming sense of well-being. Each staff member was provided every possible comfort and necessity to improve our work experience. There was nothing that Scott neglected to do for each of us and our patients.

“Scott has been the quiet presence behind so many of the gifts the Neely family has provided to this institution. He has been behind the scenes raising money for the growth of this hospital…. What he does comes from a place of genuine love and commitment to the staff and patients at Tufts Medical Center. Scott is a most charming, gentle and kind man who wants only to make the hospital experience for every patient and their families that much more comfortable; to that end he has reached out to multitudes of donors to accomplish all that we enjoy and are so very, very proud….

“One only has to sit with Scott for a short time to appreciate the heart and soul of this gentleman. He is so very humble and unassuming about his talents and devotion to us. Here in the Neely Pediatric Hematology Oncology Division we are so proud to know Scott, and our appreciation for what he has done for us is beyond words. There is no way to ever thank Scott sufficiently and perhaps giving him this honor in some small way will let him know how much we thank him personally for his friendship and love.”
