Assistant to Colon and Rectal Surgery
Nomination from Jim Yoo, MD, Chief, Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery:
“Lynn has held the Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery together for years and kept the lights on even when, for a brief time, there was no colorectal faculty here. She is exceptional at her job, which involves everything from scheduling clinic appointments and OR cases, to coordinating patient care, answering phones and serving as the face of our program. It is hard to imagine someone who could do better in terms of customer service, kindness, dedication and being a team player.
“A patient of mine wrote this about Lynn: ‘Lynn is the type of person who made herself available to me both emotionally and physically. She wanted to understand my current challenges and what I had been through, and offered up support during my healing journey. She always made herself available to me and always put my best interests in front of her own. I cannot say enough about Lynn and the impact she has had in my life. She was with me all the way through a traumatic experience, and I will never forget what she has done for me. Her empathy, professionalism, capability and support to her patients are like nothing I have ever seen. All of you at Tufts MC should be proud to have Lynn on your team. I will be forever grateful.’
“If you ask anyone about Lynn, whether it’s a coworker, a surgeon in the department or a patient, you will hear the same thing over and over again—Lynn is a warm and kind person, great at her job, and the heart and soul of this division. She is always willing to step up and take on extra tasks when someone is sick or away, or when something just needs to be done. She is a great friend who makes it fun to come to work, roll up our sleeves and deal with the challenges of the day. She is the perfect example of what makes Tufts Medical Center great.”
