“Even when we are told informatics is a barrier to completing a task, Shuang thinks outside the box and works at the speed of clinical care to get things done.
“There isn’t one knock-it-out-of-the-park story I can give about Shuang, but a million little ones that show how she makes our health system work better. For instance, when an error caused part of a patient’s regimen to be missed, Shuang was able to generate popup alerts within a day to prevent it from happening again. Another time, one of our patients needed a complicated and unusual antibiotic regimen—Shuang guided us through building the order so the drug could be safely administered to the patient within just a few hours.
