Julie Sherman RN
Tufts MC True Blue Recipient: Julie Sherman, RN, Clinical Nursing Director, Cancer Center
Nomination from Kathleen Coughlin, RN, Clinical Nurse Leader, Cancer Center:
“Julie’s efforts have changed the workflow of the Infusion Center to better meet the needs of patients. She reorganized the process of check-in/out, improving patient wait times drastically.
“She is now working to improve the pain management of sickle cell patients being admitted in the ED. Her goal is to decrease admissions and reduce length of stay, while managing pain better.
“You may wonder how Julie has the time to do all of this and still manage five units in the Cancer Center, but somehow she does and also keeps her staff happy. She is a superb manager, leader and mentor to everyone she meets.”
Congratulations, Julie!
