Tufts MC True Blue Recipient: Katie Foss, Outpatient Intravenous Antibiotic Therapy Program Specialist, Infectious Diseases

“We had a patient who required an urgent infusion of IV antibiotics. They were running on a tight schedule and not able to go to the infusion center. The situation was complicated by a complex medical history.
“Katie spent about two hours coordinating with the patient and their family, as well as the Neely Center, to ensure they would be able to receive their antibiotics.
“Katie took it upon herself to draw out a map for them and give her direct line in case they got lost. She assured them that she would find them and bring them to the Neely Center herself if necessary. When all was said and done, the patient’s mom thanked Katie profusely.”
