Tufts Medical Center Pediatric Update

Tufts Medical Center, part of Tufts Medicine, is proud to provide a full range of care for children throughout Eastern Massachusetts.

Working closely together, our clinical teams care for patients from birth through their late teenage years.  At Tufts Medical Center in Boston (Tufts MC), we strive to keep the children and adolescents of our community healthy by providing routine primary care as well as emergency care and day surgery. Along with teams from Boston Children's Hospital (BCH), we provide complex care to the tiniest patients in our neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). If your child needs a specialist, our teams have excellent physicians available at Tufts MC or at one of the Tufts Medicine satellite offices in Chelmsford, Woburn, Brockton and Lawrence. Our hospitalists and neonatologists care for children at Lowell General Hospital, Metrowest Medical Center, MelroseWakefield, Lawrence General Hospital  and Brockton Hospital.

As of July 1, 2022, any child needing overnight care in the Boston area will be referred to Boston Children's Hospital.

If you have any questions about your child's care, we have two important phone numbers:
Tufts MC Transition Line: 866-978-2339 and the BCH Patient/Family Transition Center line: 617-355-3535.
