Overview

To understated the effects of different pacemaker settings on heart function in patients with LVADS.

Study Details

Inclusion Criteria

  • Have a biventricular pacemaker
  • Have a pulmonary artery catheter
  • Be stable enough to be transferred out of the ICU

Exclusion Criteria

  • Still on IV medications to support your heart
  • Still have a breathing tube
  • Heart rate greater than 115

Study Requirements

  • 1 hours at patient's bedside.
  • 3-4 teaspoons of blood.
