This is a research study to find out more about preterm labor and preeclampsia during pregnancy. We would like to study the uterine lining and monthly cycles to find out if they have any role to play in preterm labor or preeclampsia.
Inclusion Criteria
- History of healthy term delivery or
- History of preterm delivery or
- History of preeclampsia in a previous delivery
Exclusion Criteria
- Not willing or unable to use the menstrual cup
- Not willing or unable to make a study visit for sample drop off
Study Requirements
Subjects for the study will be contacted by phone and explained in brief the purpose and procedure of the study. This should take about 10-15 minutes. If they agree to participate, a verbal consent and
subject's name will be recorded in the verbal consent form. At their next regular monthly cycle, the subject will have 1 visit to sign the written informed consent and drop off the sample. This visit should
take approximately 30 minutes in total.
