Overview

We are collecting olfactory mucus in order to determine if we can isolate exosomes and identify PD biomarkers.

Study Details

Inclusion Criteria

  • Diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease
  • Between the ages of 30 and 80

Exclusion Criteria

  • Use of topical nasal medications in the past 4 weeks
  • Use of steroids.
  • Have a severe septal deviation.

Study Requirements

During your normally scheduled visit, your olfactory mucus will be collected by placing sponges in both nostrals for about 5 minutes.
