Overview

The purpose of this study is to collect blood samples from Tufts Medical Center multiple myeloma or AL amyloidosis patients being prepared for autologous stem cell transplant in order to analyze variations in T-cell populations through the stem cell mobilization process

Study Details

Inclusion Criteria

  • Patients with multiple myeloma or AL amyloidosis who either may be eligible for SCT or are currently being prepared for SCT at Tufts Medical Center.

Exclusion Criteria

  • Patients who do not have multiple myeloma or AL amyloidosis.
  • Patients who are not eligible for SCT
  • Patients with hemoglobin < 10g/dL or platelets < 150,000/uL.

Study Requirements

This study will enroll up to 50 patients who either may be eligible for SCT or are en route to treatment with autologous stem cell transplant (SCT) for multiple myeloma or AL amyloidosis
