Checks should be made payable to Tufts Medical Center. Please be sure to include the name of the runner you are supporting in the memo of the check or with a note accompanying the check. Please note: offline donations may take 5-7 business days to be reflected on the runner’s page.
How do I start the matching gift process?
Many companies match charitable gifts made by their employees. Please reach out to your company’s human resources department to learn if your workplace matches gifts to hospitals and how you can request a matching gift. How do I donate to a specific runner?
Donors can donate to a specific runner by:
• Giving online by credit card to the runner’s personal fundraising page. Visit https://www.givengain.com/campaign/support-us-via-the-2024-boston-marathon-27141 and search for the specific runner page you would like to support or use the runner’s specific fundraising page URL.
• Making a check out to Tufts Medical Center. Include the runners name on the memo line of the check. Once we receive this donation the total will be added to the runners fundraising page as an offline gift.
Can I still run for Team Tufts MC as a qualified runner?
Yes, qualified runners have a fundraising minimum requirement of $1,500. They will receive our team benefits including, professional coaching, fundraising support and branded swag. If you are a qualified runner interested in joining Team Tufts MC, please email teamtuftsmc@tuftsmedicalcenter.org
What are the required fees associated with running the Boston Marathon?
In addition to the required fundraising commitment, all runners are responsible for paying their own Boston Athletic Association race registration fee of $375. Team Tufts MC runners will also pay a $200 team fee upon acceptance to the team. Note: your team fee does not count towards your fundraising commitment.
Do you need to be vaccinated to participate in the 2023 Boston Marathon?
Athletes may be subject to potential proof of negative testing, potential proof of vaccination, and wearing a face mask in designated areas. Please refer to the B.A.A. website and guidelines for additional information.
