Each year, thousands of patients from around the world trust Tufts Medical Center and Floating Hospital for Children with their medical care. Here, adults and children are welcomed into a caring community of internationally-respected physicians and surgeons – many from multi-cultural backgrounds – who are accustomed to working with patients and physicians from other countries.
Our International Patient Services Administrator will guide you every step of the way: before, during and after your hospital visit. They will assist with language needs, advise you about medical records, schedule appointments and coordinate financial arrangements. The International Patient Services Administrator will be the first person you meet when you arrive at our Boston location and will answer any questions you may have. Learn more about our services >

Boston – a global city
We’re located in Boston, a culturally diverse city considered among the top immigrant-friendly cities in the United States. About 27% of Boston’s population was born in another country. The world’s best and brightest come to Boston to be educated by the city’s prestigious universities, including Tufts University School of Medicine. In fact, the city has the nation’s highest concentration of colleges, with many alumni who stay after graduation to work and live in the city.
Boston is a vibrant city that is full of history. From the Boston Tea Party to the Battle of Bunker Hill and the Midnight Ride of Paul Revere, our city has seen some of the pinnacle times in our nation’s growth. Walking along the streets of Boston (we recommend the Duck Boat Tour or a walk along the Freedom Trail) you can still visit many of the city’s famous landmarks.
